Meet Your Teachers

Acharya Shunya

is one of the extraordinary teachers of the living, embodied wisdom of Ayurveda. She transmits it through the roots of her ancient family lineage as well as throughout her book, Ayurveda Lifestyle Wisdom (Sounds True, 2017). She is a rare teacher who grew up living by Ayurveda since the day she was born in the home of her grandfather, Baba Ayodhya Nath, a renowned master Ayurveda healer who was also her Guru. Her home was her classroom as Baba taught her and the many other students who lived with them at their residential school how to handcraft their health with the help of special foods, herbs, spices, and flowers taught in the ancient original Ayurvedic source texts. Acharya Shunya now teaches her students nature’s secrets with joy as she weaves in her unique Ayurvedic childhood learning experiences and draws upon 35 years of experience as an Ayurveda teacher and healer. Acharya Shunya’s inspiring teachings and personal conviction will inspire you to believe that anything is possible as they awaken your inner self-healer.

Chef Sanjai

strongly believes that food is medicine and that Ayurveda food can heal your body, mind and spirit simultaneously when cooked with intention and knowledge of the potency and potential of the ingredients you use. His love of the art of Ayurvedic cooking comes from his childhood spent learning from his mother. He teaches you how to develop a relationship with food, spices, herbs and flowers that makes the whole journey of eating – from selecting ingredients to chopping to stirring to garnishing, and serving food – one of mindfulness and joy. All of the recipes he teaches derive from his years of research into the ancient Ayurvedic source texts, particularly the Bhavaprakash, which focuses a great deal on explaining the healing potencies of nature’s helpers you can befriend to handcraft your health.
